Based on the events that transpired in Mumbai, India where a stray dog named Noorie was sexually assaulted during the 2020 pandemic lockdown. The vigilance of the neighbourhood people helped obtain maximum punishment to the criminal and saving Noorie's life by leveraging social media to gain momentum.
'Story of Noorie' is an experimental take on this sensitive issue to create empathy in minds of children from a very tender age even before they can write or write. The visual story of a stray dog is created along with informational poster to educating people to be alert and report crimes against stray animals. Using human expressions, flat colours and simple shapes form the language of the story. Topics around colourism and gender are also embedded in the story to normalise inclusivity. The entire story can also be viewed in augmented reality to create an engaging experience for little children.
